These are the things I actually sit with. Not a wishlist. A trail of switches. Windows to Mac. Galaxy to iPhone. The quieter stuff that made the desk possible. Nothing here is a recommendation. It’s just what survived, and why I kept it.

MacBook Air M5

I switched from an HP Pavilion on Windows in August 2025 and never came back. The Pavilion was fine until it wasn’t. Fans, heat, the feeling that the machine was arguing with me. The Air is quiet. I work on it, I take it around, I haven’t opened Windows since.
Samsung monitor

Been on the desk longer than the Air. One extra screen. I didn’t want a cockpit. Just enough room so the browser and the terminal stop fighting for the same pixels. If it doesn’t fit on these two, it didn’t need to.
FIFINE K669B
I needed a mic that plugged in and worked. No interface, no phantom power, no ritual. The K669B sits on the boom with the volume knob facing me. Calls, recordings, whatever I’m saying into the night.
FIFINE CS1 stand
The little tripod in the box puts the mic on the desk, which puts it in the way. The CS1 clamps to the table and hangs the mic in front of the monitor, where my mouth actually is.
Mic foam
The broom on the mic. Without it every P and B hits like a drum. Two rupees of foam and the take gets quieter. I keep a spare because the first one always walks off.
ZEBRONICS K5002MW
The Air’s keyboard is for the lap. At the desk I wanted something that stays put and doesn’t shout about it. Slim, wireless, battery inside. I forget it has one until weeks later.
Portronics Toad One
Trackpad is fine until it isn’t. The Toad One lives on the right of the mat. Bluetooth, no dongle hunt, RGB I mostly ignore. It’s the boring kind of good.
Eglo Veradal
A really cheap lamp. Black shade, wooden base, that’s it. Overhead light is a lie after ten. This is the warm pool in the photo. Enough to see the keys, not enough to keep the room awake.
Navneet Ganesha diary

If you look at the home page, the diary animation is this. The Ganesha series. I love them so much. They’re a real saviour. I write in it the way some people open a notes app, except this one doesn’t ping, and the cover still makes me want to pick it up.

iPhone 14 Plus
March 2026
Took this from my brother in March 2026. He’s a big fan of the S24 Ultra, so we switched devices. He got the Ultra, I got the 14 Plus. The Ultra wanted to be a computer in my pocket. I wanted a phone. This one is quieter, and I kept it.
Ambrane MagSafe 10,000mAh
May 2026
Recently started using a MagSafe power bank and they’re a real saviour. Snap it on the back of the phone and the cable problem goes away. The material is good too. Doesn’t feel like the cheap plastic ones.
AirPods 4
Aug 2025
Same stretch as the Mac. Active Noise Cancellation, in the bag or in my ears. There is no third place. The room falls away when I need it to.

I used to finish a day in whatever chair was around and feel it in my back. July 2025 I got the Gravita. High-back, mesh, the reason working from home actually works past midnight.

Don’t know. Practicing to learn the ukulele. Funny story: I took it in college. Two friends took it from me and started learning. They returned it on the last day of college, when we were leaving. I will still learn to play it soon.
